Back to life

So the past year has been extremely busy, but things should start slowing down a while now. The big work project that took so much time over the past 1.5 years is now done.

Looking forward to some relaxing days in Kingston and cottage country!

We're goin' to Bolivia!

It's shocking how I let this blog slide after the Facebook discovery, but this blog can apparently be fed into FB, so I just need to figure out how and then make it so.

I've been reading the info on-line about Bolivia and Chile, as well as informative blogs. Very exciting! I'm concerned about the altitude sickness, since the highest I've ever been was in the Rockies and that was only about 1200m, but hopefully we'll be attuned after just a couple days...

Hot water tank: you're on notice!

Looks like we'll be having some cold showers tomorrow... The repair guy will be here between the oh-so-specific window of noon-4pm.

Sick day!

It's been a looong time since I took a sick day, but I'm doing so today. Probably could've gone in, but I'm being considerate and not spreading the virus around.

My plan today is to play with Ella, read The Saxon Shore for a few hours and nap. A good day, indeed!

Great Moments in Marketing

Looking at flights to Glasgow today and noticed an odd choice of a quote about the city on the Flight Centre website:
'The great thing about Glasgow is that if there's a nuclear attack it'll look exactly the same afterwards.' - Billy Connolly
Um. Yeah.

Identity crisis for cats

Working from home today and I just saw an unusual sight. There was someone walking their 2 dogs and 1 cat. The cat seemed to be fine with walking on a leash.

Your Taun-taun Will Freeze Before You Reach The First Marker!

Um, so, uh, winter seems to be making up for it's lateness all in one go today.

In the park, other than stretches of ground where the extreme winds were sweeping the snow clear, I had to make corridors for Ella to walk through. Truly, today Toronto = Hoth.
